Born and raised in Texas, Misty found she was born to shine early in life and was nicknamed "Ms. Hollywood" by her friends and family. After finishing school Misty headed to Dallas where she worked odd jobs while she attended a community college and took acting classes.
While in school, Misty caught the eye of some modeling agencies including the Campbell Agency in Dallas, Texas, Michelle Pommier in Miami, Florida, and Ford in New York. One of Misty’s first modeling jobs put her on the cover of D Magazine. Soon after, she modeled for Champs Sports wear. This marked only the beginning of Misty’s illustrious career. Michelle Pommier asked Misty to come to Florida to meet with the agency and see how Florida could launch her career as a professional model.
But even as Misty's modeling career took off, she continued to pursue work as an actress. Misty landed several television commercials for Wendy’s, Kohl’s, Sneakers, Reebok and Seven Up -- just to name a few. However, it wasn’t long before Misty landed a small role on the CBS daytime drama Guiding Light. From there Misty’s work began to escalate, and with it, her modeling career.
Performing in several fashion Shows -- such as Tommy Hilfiger, Versace and Harley Davidson -- Misty's future began to look brighter and more promising than ever before. And it wasn’t long before Guiding Light offered Misty a contract role in the spring of 2000. But the actress decided to turn down the contract when she learned she was going to be a mom.
The surprising news didn’t keep Misty out of commission though. While pregnant with her son, Misty found work modeling for pregnancy ads and magazines. In fact, Misty found herself on the very first cover of Pregnancy Magazine! And finally, in November of 2000, Misty welcomed her baby boy, Hunter Dylan, into the world. A week later Misty went right back to work. When little Dylan was only three months old, his mom was on the cover of the Florida magazine, Miami Metro As Misty continued her career as an actress, model and now a mom, little Hunter tagged along, because Misty is a full-time, hands on mother.
After taking it easy for a couple of years, Misty came back with a boom working with the Wilhelmina Modeling Agency in Miami, Los Angeles and New York. Shooting for a huge Miller Lite Campaign the summer of 2003, Misty also found herself on the covers of Boca Raton Magazine, D Magazine, ESPN Magazine and a Sandal Resort ad. Shooting with Vince Vaughn and Jamie Presley in the HBO's series, Going to California. In January 2004 Misty landed the role of host for HD Net’s Travel Show Get Out!. The wonderfully wild travel show airs every week on HDNet -- only available to high definitions viewers. Misty also hosts HDNet’s Guy’s Night In show every Monday night.
